How to Join the IAIC:

Independently published writers and illustrators with proven success are invited to join the association as Full Members. Those starting out may join as Associate Members.

All members can benefit from exposure on the website, mutual support, sharing ideas, and attendance at monthly meetings.

This is a non-profit organization. Annual membership fees cover the costs of running the website, advertising, participation fees for events, etc. Full Membership is $20 per year and Associate Membership is $10 per year.

Full Membership:

Full membership is available to:

  • those writers and illustrators who currently have professional-quality books in print that demonstrate success either through substantial sales or numerous testimonials from the public,
  • those who have proven success in a career related to their craft, e.g. journalist, artist, copywriter, graphic designer, and
  • those who have won competitions or awards within their related fields.

Privileges of full membership over and above those of associate membership include the following:

  • inclusion in the online catalogue and other advertising
  • participation in book fairs and other events
  • holding office, and
  • voting on issues and in elections

Associate Membership:

Associate membership is available to:

  • those writers and illustrators who are currently in the process of creating professional-quality books but do not meet the criteria of full membership.


To apply for membership, download this Application Form and mail it along with your cheque, made out to IAIC, to Ruth Cunningham, 4071 Side Road 20 South, R.R. #2, Puslinch, ON N0B 2J0.


Meetings:

The IAIC meets the second Tuesday of every month at 2:00 p.m. in Guelph, Ontario, at the West End Community Centre off Imperial Road just north of Paisley Road.
